Swim hand in hand to a hidden stretch of sand, or sip on champagne while watching the sunset from a table that’s made just for two. Experience the best of Punta de Mita, a true romantic escape, where you can feast on adventure and try to do it all, or relax and do nothing at all.
Day 1:
What better way to kick off your getaway than by a trip to Playa del Amor, the truly hidden “beach of love” that’s set inside a sunken crater on the Marieta Islands. Jump off the boat into the warm blue Pacific, and after swimming together through a natural tunnel, emerge on a stretch of soft white sand that’s been rated as one of Mexico’s most scenic and awe-inspiring beaches.
Spend the afternoon sipping agave once back inside the resort, where a local expert takes you on a journey through the flavor, history, and suggested pairings of tequila, sotol, and mescal. Carry the festivities into the evening with a private table at Codex, where you can dine amongst mangroves while savoring each other’s company, as well as the ancient, Aztec flavors, served up by our talented chefs.
Day 2:
Turn off the phone. Relax. Sleep in, and enjoy a floating, ocean view breakfast, enjoyed from your private plunge pool. Spend the day at a private cabana gazing out at the wide ocean view, before preparing for a Zarandeado beach barbecue of freshly caught fish with local spices, that’s cooked right over the sand.
Day 3:
Deepen your bond with a shared new experience at a purifying temezcal ceremony, where the steam, shaman, and heated stones help restore and detox your bodies. Continue the day of relaxation with a 60-minute couples massage in a nourishing, thatched-roof jungle dome, before bringing the day to a romantic close with an intimate, private, bonfire on the beach—capped off with a bottle of fine wine.
