3-Day
Itinerary
When long, sunny days give way to starry nights, the scene is set for an unforgettable trip amongst groups of friends. Here where the jungle meets the sea, adventure, comfort, and native Huichol culture combine to create an alluring escape that’s packed with adrenaline and exploration, yet rejuvenating, restorative, and relaxed.
Day 1: Snorkel and Spa
Start the trip off with a morning boat ride to the Marieta Islands, where you can snorkel, swim—and in winter, search for whales—while also exploring the famous “Hidden Beach,” which is only accessible by boat. Having seized the day with an early adventure, shower off the salt and head to the spa for an afternoon massage or purifying treatments to hydrate and nourish your skin. Swap the robe for evening wear and reconvene at Mesquite, where you fill the evening with seafood and drinks—served up in the Nayarit style.
Day 2: Explore Surrounding Towns and Shop—Then Return And Sip Agave
Head north up the coast from Punta de Mita to spend the day shopping, sightseeing, and strolling through quaint, culturally rich towns. Grab coffee or tacos in bohemian Sayulita, perusing the shops for jewelry, cacao, and Huichol-inspired art, or take a step back in time in San Pancho, where the cobblestone streets and small, sandy coves are filled with historic charm. Hang in the plaza of neighboring Lo de Marcos, which still holds the feel of a small Mexican pueblo, set right on the Nayarit coast, although wherever you choose to spend the day, plan to be back by late afternoon for the private agave-tasting session you’ve pre-arranged for the group.
Day 3: Choose Your Own Land-Based Adventure By Day, And Sail Off Into The Sunset
Some of you may want to go sport fishing, while others might want to golf. You could take a group hike up Monkey Mountain for sweeping views of the coast, or opt for a fast-paced, off-roading tour that rambles through the Nayarit jungle. Hook in a harness and zipline past waterfalls, or hop in the saddle and canter your horse down a stretch of wide-open sand. Eventually, once afternoon fades into dusk, and the sun gets low in the sky, step aboard your own private charter to raise a toast to the best friends you know, as you hoist the sails, feel the wind at your back, and cruise off into the sunset.
